Welcome to The Women’s Heart Center at St. Joseph’s

The Women’s Heart Center at St. Joseph’s offers women of all ages a coordinated approach to promoting their heart health and reducing their risk for heart disease.

Our goals are to identify and treat heart disease and stroke risk factors in women, recognize and treat heart disease that previously has been undiagnosed and empower women with the necessary tools for following a heart-healthy lifestyle.

The Women’s Heart Center is a clinical center of excellence that offers advanced diagnostic and treatment resources for all women who realize that while heart disease is their number one health risk, they can also minimize this risk through early identification and treatment. Our staff is dedicated to understanding the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual components that promote the health of each woman’s heart and contribute to her overall well-being.  We work with board-certified cardiologists to develop a treatment plan specifically designed to meet each woman’s needs, identify her specific heart disease risk factors and offer lifestyle approaches to reduce her risk.

Enabling each woman who comes to The Women’s Heart Center to enjoy a long, active and fulfilling life is the principle that guides our care.  We know that the quality of a woman’s life in her later years is influenced by her behavior, lifestyle and the decisions she makes about her health. We are confident that by undergoing the cardiovascular risk screening offered at The Women’s Heart Center and following our recommendations, a woman will reduce her risk for heart disease and its devastating consequences. The benefits of a screening extend beyond the individual woman who receives it to her family and loved ones.
