HALEDON SCHOOL YOUNGSTERS PROMOTE HEART HEALTH

 

 

 

The entire Haledon school community wore red on February 13th  to demonstrate their awareness of heart disease and participated in an all-day “Jump Rope For Heart Health” marathon. Haledon School nurses worked with nurses from The Women’s Heart Center at St. Joseph’s to promote the value of exercise, eating lots of fruits and vegetables and heart-healthy living to the 1,000 boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth-grade. Shown with Principal Paul Iantosca and students are Haledon School Nurse Yvette Woolridge, RN, teacher Carly Saal, Haledon School Nurse Jean Cuccinelli, RN and Carolyn Strimike, RN, MSN and Margie Latrella, RN, MSN, Advance Practice Nurses from The Women’s Heart Center at St. Joseph’s. The PTA donated $800 to benefit the patients served in The Women’s Heart Center at St. Josephs
