OUR LADY OF THE VALLEY WELCOMES WOMEN’S HEART CENTER
The
Council of Catholic Women of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Wayne hosted,
for its first Fall meeting, a presentation on “Women and Heart Disease”
given by Carolyn Strimike, RN, MSN, Advanced Practice Nurse in The Women’s
Heart Center at St. Joseph’s. Attended by nearly 50 women, the presentation
included a description of women’s risk factors for heart disease, the signs
and symptoms of a heart attack and a stroke in women and how heart disease
in women is diagnosed and treated. Ms. Strimike also offered heart-healthy
goals and strategies for heart healthy living. Members of the Council,
including Sarah Fasani, President (second left) are shown with Ms. Strimike
